Chocolate changes how tea tastes, and tea changes how chocolate tastes. In two hours we taste three loose-leaf teas, each paired with a different bean-to-bar chocolate, and compare notes after every pairing. The workshop is in English, with 12 seats per session, and no tea knowledge is needed.
€40 per person, plus the festival entry ticket. Seats are booked on the festival website.

Sweetness is rarely what decides a pairing. Oxidation, roast and texture matter more, and they can reinforce each other or cancel each other out. You only find out by tasting.
Seats are sold only on the Amsterdam Tea Festival website, with checkout by pretix. Tickets are personal and arrive by email right after payment. Use the button in the dates section above, or go straight to the festival page.
If you have allergies or food intolerances, write to info@teatips.it before you book, so I can tell you whether you can join. Refunds and exchanges follow the festival's Ticket Refund and Exchange Policy, linked at the bottom of the festival website. I don't handle payments for this workshop.
Elisa Moratello, founder of Teatips, a small tea business in Veneto, Italy. Tea taster with a diploma recognised by the Chinese government (MOHRSS, 2022) and UK Tea Champion 2019. I buy loose-leaf tea directly from small producers and run tastings, courses and workshops around Italy, mostly hands-on rather than lectures.
Read the short tasting guide I wrote for this workshop: Tea and chocolate pairing: a short tasting guide.
È in inglese: Tea and chocolate pairing: a short tasting guide.
